I realized I cannot rank from software games. They are all equal to me except dark souls 2.

And honestly for these games I think ranking areas and parts of the game makes so much more sense. Basically nothing beats the first half of DS1 but the second is more on the DS2 quality. DS3 is probably overall the most polished with Sekiro being close. They do have the best boss fights tho. And then there is Bloodborne which does have some stinker areas too but even the ones that suck to play are just wayyyy too cool to hate on

Also would do BB a disservice if i didn't mention all the cool PVE NPC Hunter fights I don't do PVP so to have them in the game that often and also be so versatile in their fighting style was dope to me

Which of the areas in BB are stinkers to you? I can't really think of an area that was a real letdown to me. Every area just oozes so much dread

I guess the stinkers are nightmare frontier swamp area , the university, Hemwicks optional era super forgettable, Byrgenwerth, nightmare of mesis frenzy all of them kinda ehh or downright torture gameplay wise but they still got that atmosphere man

sometimes im cool with an area being torture if its short tbh so bloodborne still clear

Yeah the only thing i could really think of was the Nightmare area with the Winter Lanterns’ frenzy as well... but then again that area had the building with the spiders hanging from the ceiling which was dope, our first time fighting an Amygdala and also eventually the Brain Of Mensis

The other areas i all liked. Hemwick was cool with the crazy witches dancing around the fire and the mysterious monolith appearing which leaded to Cainhurst Castle

Byrgenwerth was wayyy too short but it’s an important place in terms of lore and houses one of the coolest boss arenas in all of Soulsborne

Some of the areas could have been fleshed out and expanded on even more, the base game feels quite short and def feels unfinished without the glorious DLC, it’s a fair critique but i wouldn’t call any of the areas bad by any means

Most areas feel even more on the shorter side because the beginning in Central Yharnam feels so overwhelming and big at first. I’ve spent a good amount of hours there initially until i moved on to the Cathedral

Still super iconic and my fav opening area of any Soulsborne

Appreciate them not showing anything new. We only have seen a few stops of this game and got peaks of others but so much is still unknown. Remember when we said their marketing was bad?

Curious about the lore of that prisoner helmet. It was the helmet that stood out to me the most

Although there is a screen shot of the snowy area I don’t think we’ve fully seen it. And there are 2 other areas I don’t think we’ve seen either.

Hell I haven’t seen hardly anything from the network test. I just found out about the a*** beads monster

Apparently the network test was 1/3 of one area???

And 5 other full ones plus optional areas and even underground and sky areas???

Holy s***. I may never stop playing this all year.
