Marika‘s Scarseal
Oh yeah lol that one doesnt up ur health n stam so it doesnt negate the damage you receive. I can see why that one was a hindrance
the two physical ones are GOAT tho,all the boosts they give negates the damage you receive back to what happens to you before you put it on, s*** is basically free
maybe they just gotta realize this is not DS3 and 40 vigor aint enough
Apparently 60 isn’t either

I really want to see some gameplay because I was running around with 50 vigor and was completely fine. I feel like I died in this zone the same amount of times I died in the other zones (which is a lot
)
The choir hums in Redmane Castle sound EXACTLY like halo
Like too closely it’s throwing me off lol
Also the game is built to explore a lot of an area before going to the next
That's where half your leveling n upgrade items come from
It's mind boggling because this is literally every souls game ever. Being level 150 doesn't really mean anything except meaning you probably have a lot of health, stamina, or FP with high damage in a certain weapon type. That doesn't mean you're defense is high so with poor equipment, yeah you're still going to be two shotted. I honestly can't believe folk said armor didn't matter.
This probably the first Souls game in years where armor actually can affect offensive stats too like it's mage sets that increase magic strength as your not going to be doing up close fights. The bull-goat set has one of the highest damage reductions, but is super heavy.

I beat NG+ Radagon, Malenia and Mohg with 60 and the +2 talisman

Witchs Hat carries my damage

The erdtree talisman? Hell you don’t even get the +2 version until you’re in the last area of the game

Dont even think the extra HP will do that much. Its 10% more damage taken

I was running around with 2 of those talismans so I took 20% more damage tbh. The HP boost kinda negates it
Witchs Hat carries my damage
Man I want to do a mage build so bad. I'm kind of jealous lmao

I ran through the endgame with the marika and radagon talismans
This exactly what I used + Dragoncrest which "Enormously boosts physical damage negation"
The erdtree talisman? Hell you don’t even get the +2 version until you’re in the last area of the game
First of all im not sure anymore I definitely used the red one that just gives you HP.
And yeah I mean those three are the last bosses of the game?
Man I want to do a mage build so bad. I'm kind of jealous lmao
!https://youtu.be/xCu8PBoj-KsI couldnt use that Comet Azur skill, s*** seemed too busted
Adulas Moonblade with a good build carries damage though
This exactly what I used + Dragoncrest which "Enormously boosts physical damage negation"
Yep I used that one too if I felt like I was taking too much damage. That and the last talisman would usually be another stat boosting one or the one that lowers fp usage for skills.
Aint Noway!!! You guys are crazy
Honestly people did the math on the wiki pages with the talismans that make you take more damage and the tradeoff seems worth it

Oh yeah you can definitely use them I got Dragoncrest Greatshield Talisman on since I found it. However I didnt have that one when I fought radahn

Oh thought you were talking about the +2 Erdtree lol that’s completely different

It is

That Azur skill is BUSTED. FromSoft really went all out for magic builds. I just want to Kamehameha Goddrick b**** ass lmao

I still wouldnt use them. Those small stat upgrades for endgame level? Just take the damage negotiation and put on others I say. :shr
Like what exactly?
They didn’t have enemies doing absurd damage to your massive HP and not being able to be staggered in late game areas or if you were a relatively decent level being able to be one shotted by certain enemies. They had it throughout the game and it would mostly tell you in secret what stat you need to build up and once you did you were fine but that is most definitely not the case with this.
When you go into an area with 50 vigor and get killed by a pebble you think okay I definitely need more hp, so you come back with 60 vigor and low and behold the same pebble kills you. It makes no sense lol
No sense of direction (none of them tell you where to go)
Able to go into late game areas relativity early when youre not ready (always been a thing)
Enemies "one shotting" you even mobs (always been a thing in most new areas you go)
Etc.
These are common complaints that so called "vets" that critique Elden Ring say. If youre a new player I dont mind n its understandable, but YOU claiming YOURE a vet then complain about s*** that is present since literally Demon's Souls makes you lose all credibility and seems like youre trying to command more authority by larping as a vet.
But the stuff youre saying idk what you mean, i dont get one to two shot at all by basic enemies in the right areas youre suppose to be in. Just like how in Mountaintops rn its taking 5 to 6 to kill me for most, minus the bigger enemies because of course, theyre bigger enemies. My build was also planned out tho.
A lot of people that complain about boss fights as well make it CLEAR they refuse to use spirits in any form. Thats literally your fault, its a main mechanic of Elden Ring and most the bosses are built around them in the second half of the game. Just like in Sekiro, you can get thru the fist half without parrying or countering, but the second half its basically mandatory if you want to break their posture. Remember everyone hating the Lightning guy half way through the game?
It's a mix of new players trying to get accustomed (which again, its understandable im not mad at that), old players mad its not literal Dark Soul 4 & general players upset they have to get used to a brand new system yet again such as Sekrio and Bloodborne.
This game your health is important, this game spirts are important, this game all the systems are important, this game armor is more important than any of the others.
There is so much at your disposable to use, i have no idea how people that claim to be vets are endlessly struggling. The whole point of these games is to experiment n try s*** until it works, not smash your head over n over with the same tactic. And this game has more tools than ever to get you over s*** to the point they literally have broken af options on purpose.
It's not that crazy to me. Yeah, of course its challenging lol n part of the whole point why i play these games, but it's not obscenely difficult n for the most part, part of their regular M.O.
Level cap is also totally different in this game than the others. 25 n 50 was soft n hard in the others, in ELDEN RING its SIXTY n EIGHTY. What is high level in the other games, is not high level in this. Because of the scope of it all, and if you explore most stuff, you will have enough levels n upgrade material.
I don't get it, but eveyones experience is different game to game, but at least try to play it "right" n use s*** to your advantage & stop having an ego or pretending its literally Dark Souls 4 (generally speaking).
This game is middle tier in terms of their difficulty to me.
