This thread is a repeating cycle of humiliation for me, I think it's Latin, but I didn't know other languages canonically existed in ER

Man dont know what I'm getting into. Never played a Souls game and never been into those super difficult games. But I'm bored and keep reading how incredible this is and I like open world games. F*** it I think imma just download this off psn tonight lol
(Watch me play it for 3 hours and never touch it again like some of my catalog

There’s a first Souls game for everyone so dw about lacking experience. elden ring is a relatively good one for newcomers because there is tons of flexibility in builds and a lot of the more difficult content is optional. That said frustration is a big part of the game even for ‘veterans’, try and understand why you’re dying (specific enemy moves, being too aggressive, etc.) and be comfortable with the fact that it may take you like 20 mins with a boss just to get a feel for their attack patterns before you make a dent. Enjoy!

Thanks! Just created my character (which could have taken much longer considering all the options they give you) and bout to hop into it
my No summon run actually goes really fine
I'm doing every location again and my fight against Rennala was with a full armor against magic damage, an anti magic talisman+1 and an anti magic damage incantation
she's not even difficult, I'm just using what I have

Its the better experience imo
I would encourage everybody to try
Especially the later stage if you know what youre doing gives you a new perspective

I'm still thinking about doing some exceptions tbh
like godskin duo or multiple bosses at once in general
it's like those situations are designed to use summons

Godskin duo doable never died to this boss
Its not a fun time tho you just gonna run away until 1 is dead and then you can fight one at a time
Gargoyles imo the scariest

Man this game hard as hell lol I knew it. Already stuck on this first giant ass boss but I'm clearly not ready to fight it yet. Trying to figure out how to level up faster Hugh. Can tell this game gonna be real trying lol

If its the knight on the big horse yeah you need to come back to him later, would recommend going through eastern limgrave and the weeping peninsula for now. you'll get stronger and items that increase your # of heals (golden seeds)
This Lord of Blood sure is kicking my keister
One of my favorite fights in the whole game
So fun
