Ok boys, what should I do next?
I took a break for a couple months after repeatedly getting bodied by Fire Giant.
Started playing again a few weeks ago, then beat most of the optional bosses at the Mountaintop, then Fire Giant, then beat Astel, finished Ranni’s quest line, then beat Nial, and now I got to Malenia lol.
From my understanding, once I talk to Melina at Forge of Giants Site of Grace that’s the point of no return and I won’t be able to do any more side quests but I still want to finish dung eater’s questline and do Fia’s questline as well.
But I also don’t think I’ll be able to beat Malenia anytime soon lol, so what should I do next?
Tldr: what should I do next? Can’t beat Malenia and I don’t want to burn the erdtree yet because I still want to do side quests.
Do Fia’s quest there’s a lot to it

If you haven't already, return to Ranni's Rise, also head to the far West of the Consecrated Snowfield
It’s dead ass impossible to beat the Elden Beast with a blood build
spending 90% of the fight running <<<
terrible boss
Are greatsword and strength builds good now? Haven't been paying attention to patch notes and I just jumped back in. Might switch up my build for the last few bosses if so.

They were always good. Especially if you powerstance them.

i haven't really used them, i just remember people complaining about them and i saw they got changed in the patch notes. i just swapped to the maxed out greatsword and respec'd

He’s immune to rot and bleed
those status only gonna carry you through 99.9% of the game

I mean I’ve got him to half health it’s just he keeps moving and moving and moving so even if he wasn’t immune it would be annoying lol
After hearing all the talk about the Elden Beast I wasn't expecting it to look like THAT
Beat Godskin Duo, Maliketh and Commander Niall today
Niall was one of the hardest bosses that I’ve ever faced in a soulsborne game lol
Malenia down
She's definitely up there with some of the hardest bosses but I feel like it's really only because of her jumping attack where she lands and swings her sword a ton of times and then does it 2x more with an explosion at the end. That move felt like pure bullshit tbh. Sometimes I could roll through it, but most times I'd get hit once and get stun locked and die. It really felt like a 1 hit death which doesn't feel great. If you remove that one move then she's not nearly as difficult.
I beat Elden Beast on the 2nd try
I'm assuming it got nerfed cause it was actually pretty easy, beautiful boss and music though. I thought Radagon was harder, but only the first few times. His moveset was much easier to exploit once you learned it. He felt like a more traditional souls boss.
My ending was the Age of the Stars, Ranni my queen
In game time was 67 hours
Idk if it’s my depression or what but f*** i’m so burnt out on FromSoft
Prob just played too much tbh. I'm burnt out but I can still say that they are some of my fav games ever. Playing other games currently and enjoying it much more than another playthrough of a game I've beat multiple times
Those gargoyles near siofra aqueduct were hard af and only gave me 25000 runes
They are one of fromsoft's worst bosses tbh. Should nerf how aggressive they are or make their poison more easily visible
Malenia is definitely the hardest Soulsborne boss I've ever fought, Maliketh surprised me by being pretty easy to counter with a strength build
I STILL CANNOT BEAT MOHG COMPLETELY SOLO WITHOUT CHEESING HIM
IVE BEATEN EVERY SINGLE F***ING BOSS IN THIS GAME NO SUMMONS OR NPCS EXCEPT MOHG AND I JUST CANNOT DO IT WITH A FAITH/MELEE BUILD
First playthrough I used a summons to help me and 2nd play through I cheesed him with Comet Azur
I even have the f***ing shackle and the physick and I still can’t do it
I literally get him to phase 2 without using a single health flask but he’s just too f***ing aggressive in phase 2… there’s blood flame f***ing everywhere so anywhere you move you’re taking fire damage and blood loss and he never stops attacking
I honestly hate malenia because I beat her with Rivers of blood and it was so ridiculously easy I felt like I got robbed of the experience. Some horrible balancing problems in this game (it’s still a 10/10 before y’all come at me)
It’s an actual joke, you do one combo with the rivers of blood skill and a quarter of her first health bar is down
Then next run I faced her with a strength build and she was tough as s***, that’s the experience I was looking for

Shouldve given him a second health bar imo
Same for Godrick
Im whooping those fights now
