2 is a good game, it's just heavily outshined in pretty much every way by 1 and 3 imo. The story naturally doesnt really feel like Dark Souls either.

Anybody hating on DS2 must not have played it on release because it was such a huge improvement in so many ways over DS1 and everybody in the community was loving it. Definitely the dark horse of the series

Oh yeah I played through SOTFS for the first time earlier this year and they made it worse lol so many unnecessary invasions and gank fests. If that’s the version new people play it’s definitely a worse experience
