Totally up to you
I don't really pay much attention at all to the lore personally, my only concern for you is it might take a lot of hours to go through the whole game again before you get to the DLC. If you haven't fought Mohg or Malenia I have the feeling that there's still a good bit of stuff for you to do in the game
I pretty much dove right into the DLC right when it came out after not playing my character for like a year. I had like a 10 hour stint a few months back trying a new character but ultimately went back to my main for the DLC
To each their own though fr! That's just me
EDIT: Maybe look at the trophy list and fight any bosses you might have missed then do the DLC?
Bettt I’ll just hop back in then and explore. Checking trophy list is a great idea I’ll peep it.
I might have to redo all my stats though, the spider lady in the hogwarts castle looking spot can do that right?
Have so many nice weapons that I can’t use cus of my stats
Seems like even when dodging left, spamming even, at the right time i still get hit in phase 2. Dont know if fast roll Is required, but yeah. And still when i make one single mistake i can kiss the try goodbye cause ill chug at least 3 flasks to get back on my feet
Use the Crimson Seed Talisman +1 you won't have to keep chugging
hard = good!!
that fight was absolutely trash the way you had to spend most of it running around a big empty space because the coward kept running away. i refuse to believe anyone actually had fun doing that.
Easy final boss is the lamest thing ever

I wish i had more talisman spots lol, what i have is i think pretty essential for the fight so i cant use this, but thanks for the tip regardless!
so the base game final boss was too easy for ya'll and the dlc final boss is too hard for ya'll and you think fromsoft doesn't know how to design difficulty in their own games
I'm fighting Malenia right now on NG+ and I do plenty of damage to her but her Waterfowl Dance is still hitting

Lol yea, just need a Larval Tear to respec

When did I whine to fromsoft about the final dlc boss

People thought Elden Beast was easy?
That s*** was incredibly hard to me for some reason. I had already beaten Melania and most the other bosses, but he made me quit the game for an entire 6 months
Yo guys is it worth replaying the game before DLC? Haven’t played since 2022 after i beat my first play through. Literally had no idea what was going on in terms of story lol. I never fought Mohg or Malenia either
I was thinking of replaying and watching lore videos to get a sense of the story so i could be more locked in for DLC
I was in the same position and started a new character, definitely worth it IMO. It should take you much faster to get up to speed (defeating essential bosses and grabbing whatever weapons/armor/spells/incants you need for your desired build) vs your OG character

I said having torrent during the elden beast fight makes it easy. The difficulty of the fight was avoiding all his light attacks on foot

Oh word I didn't see your post/wasn't referring to it
I'm gonna fight him on my NG+ soon (maybe tonight), excited to torment him with my overleveled character for what he put me through a couple years ago
I can almost always reach his name in his hp bar, so i feel im pretty close, but i havent mastered it quite as id hoped, and im sure i wont feel excitement when i'll have defeated It. I hope by the time i'll fight him again i'll have a deeper understanding of him and can enjoy it

FromSoft pretty much did the exact final boss idea before in Bloodborne with the whole ‘old warrior followed by the otherworldy being who is the actual architect of the games events’.
but i dont seem to remember much people being annoyed that Moon Presence was a bit of a pushover because the spectacle and lore was great. these days if the fight isnt frustrating then they have failed.
people moaned that most of the fight is spent chasing him around and now that its finally fixed theyre moaning about it being too easy, purely because its not annoying like it used to be. i dont get it.
Cant even blame you. I want to learn him tho, so i'll try the old hit and roll method, hoping this aint another waterfowl situation, but judging from the online discourse it seems all his attacks are avoidable. Now whether they're intuitive to avoid is another story altogether
I couldn’t last long enough in Phase 2 despite knowing his patterns. There’s not enough visibility and the beams are too punishing. The best I managed was one third of his life, then I had enough. But knowing his patterns helped killing him fast with the shield.
I was 2 hits away😭😭😭
I can win this if i play extremely safe lol, ive got good enough defenses for the attacks im not able to dodge
Playing through Lies of P now and no the f*** not lol. It's the best soulslike not made by Fromsoft and I'm enjoying it but the parry system alone is not nearly as satisfying as Sekiro's. Best parry system matching Sekiro in quality is Sifu
agreed but that cant be your whole game lol
it's all the other stuff + the parrying in Lies of P that makes me love it so much
I liked the ending cutscene, felt pretty weird tho, not something ive seen from do before. Ive been seeing people complain about it being anticlimactic for various reasons, but i feel like the DLC has told the story it wanted to tell and it advertised. Im not gonna post full thoughts on it just yet, will let it rest with me for a while

I mean again, I’m enjoying LoP, but it’s by far a much simpler and less ambitious game. I don’t think it does a single thing better than sekiro, but that doesn’t mean I don’t really enjoy the setting and lore which are amazing, but sekiro is a larger game with more to it, even story and lore wise imo.
I DID IT AFTER 6 HOURS AND 12 MINUTES AAAAAAAAAAH
Ayyyyyyyyy it's ova brova
Well played.
Marika might be my favorite from character ever, without even including radagon as part of her character
