One thing I liked about the DLC was that it was more compressed and not as huge and overwhelming as the base game. It felt easier to get into and easier to get through. Just overall a pleasant experience. The base game was fantastic but more overwhelming due to its massive size and (in my opinion) way tougher areas to get through.

The level design and length reminded me a lot of dark souls 1 in all the best ways. I loved this DLC a lot

Also, i almost cried at the new londo reference in Shadow keep. DS1 is so important to me and seeing it being referenced still in such a clever way gave me immense joy

Yeah, it gave me Dark Souls 1 vibes as well which is great. I played Dark Souls 1 (and Dark Souls 3) for the first time just last month and I loved it.
