Thank you. The executioner sword is maybe the most fun I’ve had with an ash of war

    Feels like a machine gun.

Yeah it's esp amazing vs humanoid bosses cause that s*** just stunlocks them

They fall down, you load it up again while they're getting up, hit them again, repeat until dead

The first time I killed Malenia was cause my mimic tear and I successfully struck her with the aow like 5 times in a row lmao

It was my go to for the base game as a STR/ARC user
It still held up in the DLC as well, I just got bored of it tbh so switched to the Ancient Meteoric Ore greatsword
But you can for sure use it through out both the base game and the DLC

Claymore such a versatile weapon, great moveset, low stat requirements, perfect with a bunch of infusions and ashes depending on your build

so this radah right? Elden ring is also about family

there are alot of elements in sote that present Messmer both as a son for Marika but also a good older brother to Radahn.

Meanwhile Radahn seems to be the model older brother to everyone else. See Rykards palace portrait. Miquella looking up to him etc.

I remember Miyazaki also saying before release that ER is about family. While it is about many things I really think there is so much to disccuss about this big ass family and who likes/ hates who

I think its Godwyn. Considering the eclypse plan, i feel like miquella wanted Godwyn first as his consort, but since the plan failed he settled with the next best choice, radahn. After all we know that Godwyn was considered the perfect child of Marika. Strong, kind (especially to miquella and malenia as that statue would suggest), he probably was considered as future golden order elden lord as well. Plus the statue resembles him more than radahn does

Yeah thats been the theory since release just tryna find a different perspective.

At the same time I highly disagree that Godwyn was plan A simply because Miquella rejected Golden Order fundamentalism which was what Gowdyn basically represented.

While Radahn was also a fan of Radagon and Godfrey I think there is alot to suggest that Radahn favored loyalty and comradery over any sort of discrimination. Which would be exactly what Miquella wanted to create with the Haligtree. A place where even the "afflicted" would have a place. Suggesting again why Miquella mightve seen him as the best candidate

I think this line fits that well:

Miquella saw in Radahn a lord. His strength, and his kindness, that stood in stark contrast with their afflicted selves. And so Miquella made his heartfelt wish. That Radahn would one day be his king consort.

At the same time I can also see the other argument. You can also argue radagon

I mainly think godwyn was plan a because in base game we see his admiration for godwyn a lot more. He clearly looked up to him despite him being the personification of the golden order. And i think despite his deep respect for godwyn, i dont think it would've been beyond him to charm godwyn into accepting the new order, although i somewhat doubt he'd need to, i dont think godwyn would've been against miquella's order necessarily. We don't have examples of him being as hateful as his mother, quite the contrary id say. Everybody loved him.
And as you've said, radahn is close to the golden order as well. Hes far from a ranni, miquella or rykard, who are the only demigods really against Marika (id add malenia as well i guess but she only really wants to help miquella arise to godhood, of her own will i should add).
Plus we'd have to imagine how godwyn would feel after Marika shattered the elden ring.
It doesnt change anything ultimately cause the eclypse never came to be, but i think it adds to miquella and godwyn's characters that the latter was first considered for the age of compassion

  • Its frustrating that we don't know enough about our main companion. We have enough info about melina to say almost definitively that she's a daughter of marika and radagon, younger sister to messmer and the gloam eyed queen. Everything else is a mystery, when i feel that it shouldnt, especially for such an important character. The cynical in me thinks some parts of the lore were cut so they could be expanded in other media (like a tv show) and so drive engagement or a sequel (less likely, i think the sequel wont address the things we'd like, at best we'll get new info in a roundabout way like dark souls 3)

One of the greatest dungeons of all time
Coming into Leyndell after defeating the Draconic Tree Sentinel and seeing the envoys at the walls, the dragon lying there in the midst of a ruined capital city, the desperate music, GOAT f***in intro to a dungeon >>>>

It’s a pretty straightforward path once you know how to b-line to the bosses tbh

  • Anyone got Rakshasa’s Great Katana +10, Great Katana +25, and Black Steel Twinblade +25, they’d be willing to trade or let me dupe n give it back?

  • this game just isnt fun to me

  • I just noticed that the sealing tree is almost identical to the huge spiraling tree that makes one part of the scadutree. Which explains how the realm of shadow was sealed away. I guess burning that tree would make the lands of shadow appear in the lands between, and i assume thats what miquella was doing in that cutscene at the end of the first trailer

  • magine thinking elden ring is hard when even a goldfish can beat it

appersntly miquellas great rune was mistranslated

Instead of „Original Sin“ should instead be „Causality“

Law of Causality in Elden Ring states:

Causality is the pull between meanings; that which links all things in a chain of relation.

The description also beautifully ties in Gravity and back to Radahn and the Stars
