Teslas are horrible physical quality and you want to drive away your software talent who are your best asset and value WFH the most
He doesn’t care about his company lol he’s gonna sell his shares or drive it to low performance so it can be bought out
This forum is laughably clueless 😂😂😂
If this is any indication of how the greater web views Elon & Tesla, it’ll all makes sense
nothing wrong with wanting your workers at work lol
if a job thinks you can adequately work from home then thats an awesome perk. many jobs can be done proficiently from home
im sure many people prefer to work from home. im also sure alot of people would prefer to make more money and work less hours
but if an employers requires you to be at work thats their prerogative, really super simple
The workers and labor market choose that not the companies
You got it backwards

that would i guess be idealistic, but that is not at all how it works in america
there's simply not a big enough force of people who want that badly enough to make it happen, and with at will hiring/firing most who would try to "enact" any sorta decision abt company policy would just lose their job

It does tho
Look at current labor ‘shortages’
That’s people not accepting current conditions or wages and it’s driving S&W expenses up by 10+ percent across many sectors
I work as an investment a***yst and interview executives at F500s regularly and they themselves have said this in dozens of calls I’ve hosted
That’s what I’m saying. It’s not that people are more productive at home. It’s just that they not putting in any effort at the office. That’s a problem
You should be giving 100% any time you clock in even if it’s just for a paycheck. If you find yourself finishing your work early then you need to speak to your supervisors about opportunities for bigger and better things.
Instead we just just have people bullshitting in the office and then when they wfh they work fr for a few hours and get paid to watch Netflix the rest of the shift
U get no ass
Musk needs to be paid minimum wage
He already homeless

im not sure if labor shortages will be a persistent thing though, and im very sure that the labor shortages are not wholly or even largely attributable to people rejecting working conditions such as "workers will come to work when they work" -- wages/conditions in a much broader sense, that likely makes up a big portion of labor shortage, but that category in itself was/is influenced a lot by covid
im just sayin that there's a strange entitlement to WFH that's popped up since covid, and it's an unrealistic one for ppl to expect for the future. will it be offered more frequently than it was pre-covid? for sure, at some places. i just think generally the value for a business of having its people work in a more centralized way again will far outweigh the desire of people who want to frequently WFH
Good, this generation is soft af. Complaining about gas prices, housing market, inflation in general, but sitting on your ass all day
I mean with gas prices being the way they are i dont blame ppl for wanting to WFH
Im basically working for free with how much i have to commute

Who gives a f***? Minimum work, maximum pay is the goal. That's what all the CEOs are doing. Hiring all the people to do the hard work for them while they rake in millions and billions.
If I get my work done, why should I proactively seek more work? That's my manager/supervisor's job to delegate assignments to me. If I want to play switch after I get my s*** done there should be nothing wrong with that as I've already filled my end of the bargain.
We negotiate all terms of an offer before employment. As long as I'm fulfilling along those terms nothing else should matter. We as employees are only one small part of the bigger picture of a company. It ain't our responsibility to help the company run at 100% efficiency. The higher ups should be doing that. We are only responsible for giving 100% to tasks assigned to us and once we complete it, who cares what we do with our new found free time.
"If you find yourself finishing your work early then you need to speak to your supervisors about opportunities for bigger and better things"
That's called asking for a promotion. We live in a free market society. Everything is a transaction/negotiation. If you're going to give me more work than what we agreed upon, then give me more money otherwise we can continue to keep things how they are

Sitting on your as all day... doing work...
Niggas capping for Musk clearly don't work. There are 24 hours in a day. We spend 8 hours, a 3rd of our day, working. We spend (or at least should) around 8 hours sleeping. So half the time we spend while being awake, is dedicated to working. We aren't the soft/lazy ones at all.
