  • Eminem recently hopped on Shade 45 radio to do a breakdown of the songs on his new album Songs To Be Murdered By: Side B. During the conversation, he touched on his Snoop lyrics.

"Everything he said, by the way, was fine, up to a point," Em explained on Shade 45. "Him saying Dre made the best version of me, absolutely, why would I have a problem with that? Would I be here without Dre? F*** no, I wouldn’t. The rappers he mentioned from the ‘90s—KRS One, Big Daddy Kane, Kool G Rap—I’ve never said I could f*** with them."

"I think it was more about the tone he was using that caught me off-guard ‘cause I'm like, where is this coming from? I just saw you, what the f***? It threw me for a loop," Em continued. "I probably could've gotten past the whole tone and everything, but it was the last statement where he said, 'Far as music I can live without, I can live without that s***.' Now you’re being disrespectful. It just caught me off-guard."

He also touches on his apology to Rihanna, which occurs in the same song. The story behind the leaked Rihanna "diss," in which Em sides with Chris Brown over the case of assault, is that Em recorded the verse while he was working on Relapse in 2009. He claims that he was just trying to throw anything on a verse. "Honest to God, I told Paul this when it first happened," he begins. "First, I don’t know how somebody got it. Second of all, I have zero recollection of even remembering doing that verse. Like, the rhyme schemes didn’t even sound familiar to me, so I was caught off-guard." Still, he owned up to his mistake. "I'm not making excuses for it. I said it, and I was wrong for saying it. It was f***ing stupid," Em declared.

Em need to end snoop career

Snoop's basically a celebrity now. Em can't end his career when he's basically retired.

Snoop's my dude but he's always been two-faced towards a number of successful rappers including Kanye, Eminem, and even Tupac.

Snoop claimed Pac brought negativity to Death Row, clout chased Kanye all of 2018, and is now throwing subtle shade at Eminem. Nigga's clearly insecure.

Em apologizing for saying s*** in bars now?

Snoop a legend but he’s two faced for sure. He seemed super salty in the interview which even surprised me tbh

I think Snoop is right half the time like when he called Ye out on his MAGA bs but it often feels like he says stuff just to get attention half of the time. Still a legend either way and Em probably knows to approach with respect.

His career was never the same commercially since pulling that Snoop Lion gimmick

Yeah I posted too quick, my bad
    I see it's an interview

I think it's cool that Eminem is a rap nerd (nerd isn't used negatively in this context)

I saw his sit-down with crook earlier this year breaking down treach lyrics etc I'll assume he's doing it again on here with other bars (displaying he loves hip hop fr and deserves his spot)
He has that in common with logic I believe (the rap nerd side) no wonder both of them made technical rap their thing

I'll click on one of his interviews again if he delves deep in the creation process of his classic 3 album run, or hell even recovery/relapse...
If he gives up how he makes these albums (content, production etc)

Since he's a rap nerd maybe he should start a quick yt series about hip hop or something (I'll watch that too)

I'm not fond of Zane Lowe safe interviewing style so I'm not watching this for that reason as well

Thanks for sharing though and happy new year to you and @Goo 😘😘
