He’s never gonna figure it out sadly guys, just a pure nothing burger of an album
Is the verse on fuel the best verse on the album?
Probably controversial but If you put that verse on Eminem Show for example it would be one of the highlights

Eminem is like the rap equivalent of South Park.
Everyone only listens for nostalgia but we all know they will never be like the early 00’s and even their prime stuff has aged horribly.

I wouldn’t say prime South Park aged horribly at all, I feel like the social commentary of the episodes are still relevant
Ok done with my first listen
The 2nd half of the album is kinda inconsistent for me, a lot of the 2nd half has the same problems I’ve had with Em albums for over a decade now
But there’s definitely a lot of quality on this album as well. The first half is overall very strong for the most part and has some of his best stuff he’s made since Relapse . But there will be some songs that need to grow on me
Not sure where I would rank this album yet, but I’ll definitely be revisiting this more
The views ppl already getting for they Eminem reactions is nuts
That really was the cheat code a few years ago too
As far as CONCEPT albums go, I’d put this up there with Deltron 3030.
I feel like this album is something you put on when you want to experience a story or go on a musical journey. Just a personal experience

Facts I think it is funny tho that em and South Park still got some ehhh takes on trans people and s*** on Caitlyn Jenner( I get it tho she a got away with murder)

It’s probably my fav show if all time. But the centrality they took on many stances havent aged well by their own admission. They have tried to corse correct recently but it doesn’t always have the same magic
They can capture a classic scene but rarely capture a classic episode anymore
so are the songs after guilty conscience supposed to be like posthumous
damn didnt thought of this
actually makes sense

Nope South Park is still excellent
I still would love another Eminem Show type album, basically an album where he raps like he does on Renaissance . A mature project that has a focused vision and great flows
I think that would be a perfect retirement album for him
The songs where em is basically talking to Hailey after he passes are hauntingly beautiful, some of ems best work.
Cant imagine listening when he does go

Ahh I see what you’re saying. Yeah they did kind of do the “both sides are dumb” schtick a lot

Do we think the decision to make another album will be made off what the reception is off this album?

I was probably 16 when I realized that ALL South Park 'commentary' is 'both sides are stupid'. I would not advise to watch it for scathing social thought to anyone, in any era. the authors have the political sensibilities of a cartoon writing room i.e. total reatards

probably . but lets just hope it doesnt happen because of "somebody save me" predictable success
Album even better on second listen. This the one

I’ve seen people have that take
I feel like it’s just mostly comedic effect though I don’t really put stock in the actual politics of it
But both sides and extremes actually are stupid in a lot of cases or can at least be criticized or laughed at
