If MGK is still getting mentioned, then Game isn’t a side character. Game is 100 times more important to hip hop than MGK, benzino, canibus, etc put together
Seems like Em just likes easy targets and backs down from formidable foes
Game= already responded to
Mgk mentioned= cuz he been talking greasy and claiming victory in the beef RECENTLY in interviews
Bad comparison

Let’s compare it to Christopher reeves then

Em is clearly afraid to battle actual MCs. He spent his whole career battling easy targets.
One thing I like about these late career Eminem albums is that each album has improved from the previous one.
For example, "Kamikaze" was a solid project, but he improved on the next one with "Music To Be Murdered By", which was really good. And then he improved from that one with "The Death of Slim Shady", which is good as well.
At this point in his career, that's all I ask for from Eminem nowadays, just slowly improve upon the last project, step by step.
That’s how I see it. Dude is in his comfort zone now for better or worse. I don’t expect him to be spitting like a Blu and Exile tape of treading anything he hasn’t done before, but give me some decent beats, some catchy hooks, and some dope rap feats and I’ll be satisfied
Has anybody seen the backwards album theory? The more I listen the more it makes sense.
game is an attention w****, not worth addressing at all. same reason he wasnt included in the pop out, he messy

In?
Just wish Eminem would stop being so self-referential and caught up in his own mythos… get a new angle my friend, the ability to rap is clearly still there I just wish he had new things to say instead of either rapping about how good he raps or retreading his own legacy
On my 8th listen and I’ve cut about half of the album out of songs I like and don’t like. While I initially really enjoyed it, I’m starting to see some problems.
For one, the story isn’t very clear and kinda hard to follow. It took me awhile to realize there even was a story like that. I thought it was just about Slim and Marshall fighting with the story mostly being done in Guilty Conscious 2 like that was a one shot. But now it all makes sense. I hated Habits until I realized he was looking down on what he was saying. But I think putting Trouble before Habits would’ve fixed this. Another thing about the concept, he barely even sticks to it. The second half still has a couple of disses so I guess the death of slim shady was pointless.
Now another thing. Caitlyn Jenner is name dropped way too much. It’s not even like when he was mentioning Christopher Reeve cause atleast that paid off in a skit. There’s no payoff. Plus nobody gives a f*** about that situation anymore. It’s like when he kept mentioning Ray J for some reason.
Now while some of the old slim is still there, the writing isn’t as sharp as he was which honestly in terms of the Slim Shady stuff, that’s been happening since TES. I honestly think he should’ve put Shady to bed after When I’m Gone cause that would’ve been the better send off.
Now I’ll say there are way better hooks here than his past input. Sure, the hooks he’s not doing aren’t that great, but stleast it’s not a pop hook every song like he used to do.
And the production is damn near flawless.

It’s crazy because he could make some really good family-oriented type songs, it's where he shines imo

What’s the theory?
The fact I’ve heard people say Revival was better than this makes me feel like Em hate has gone way too far and I’m not even a stan
Revival is still one of the worst albums of all time across all genres

So is encore
I think the most blaring flaw of it all is the fact you’re listening to a washed gimmick on purpose. Like haha I was only pretending to be washed.

Idk the intro don't really make sense with that theory
Do I think Brand New Dance is a good song or is it the nostalgia in me?
S***s mad catchy lol
S***s mad catchy lol
Honestly it’s the more listenable encore era song
Antichrist lowkey sounds old too
Idk if it’s just that tempo makes him flow better. Anything with a more trap tempo gets more of the weird flows. He’s in his comfort zone closer to the 90 bpms
when hes freestyling he will tell them to slow down the beat
