Ok so after a few days I can finally give my final thoughts on the album. First and foremost I dont think there are any bad songs on the album, I think there are a few aspects I could do without, like some of the chorus(Road rage for example) and Ez mil as a feat.
I also think Temporary and Somebody save me sound identical, I dont see a reason for both songs to be on the album, he should of kept one and removed the other.
I really enjoyed the rap feats, I thought it was cool to see him rap with the new generation and actually go bar for bar with them.
The production was also cool but that was expected, Em usually produces good tracks for himself.
Houdini as a track was perfect as a single, I think it fits perfect in the context of the album. I still dont understand why Tobey was a single and I still believe it shouldnt of been one
Lyrically, I think this is one of his better projects, and it's nice that he displays a variation of flows throughout the album. Some of the songs are funny, but also "corny" at times, I think he repeats himself a tad b**** much but it doesnt ruin the experience for me.
Overall I would rank the album among his best, it's top 4 for me. I like that it doesnt have a mainstream sound, It feels alot more hip hop than most of his recent outputs. The lows on this album is better than the lows on relapse, but I think relapse has better highs. I think as awhole project this album does more for me than Relapse and therefor it's his 4th best.
Well done Marshall. 7.5/8 out of 10
very fair review and i agree for most part with your points. it so hard to make a perfect album but a good sign is when the things you dont love at least grow on you. and thats how i kinda feel with the road rage hook and ez mill feature.
in terms of tobey, i think it now makes sense why he chose it as the single. he wasn't gonna give us anything before gc2 (besides houdini). he wanted that all to be heard for first time within the concept. so if you look at the tracks post gc2 this one made the most sense without giving us the serious tracks. like he could of gave us somebody save me but again i dont think he wanted to give this away. the second single was with a week break before album drops. why give us something he wanted to hear within the concept/first listen. so tobey is the safest track to give to us. it may be not the reason you want but it makes the most sense
and it terms of repeating a lot of the content jus keep in mind that was the point. he intentionally kept repeating the same things because he was getting angry eminem was trying to stop him from getting "cancelled" and just wouldn't submit
should've been on the album tbh
Thats what i was wondering after the first listen. 2 chainz
Renaissance and Brand New Dance are by far my favorite tracks. And of course those are the songs that sound like vintage Em
If MGK is still getting mentioned, then Game isn’t a side character. Game is 100 times more important to hip hop than MGK, benzino, canibus, etc put together
Seems like Em just likes easy targets and backs down from formidable foes
Yeah I was wondering if he would respond to Game because that diss wasn't exactly something to write off. Game came at him with some serious blows lmao. Came for his whole life. Not to mention those sentiments aren't exactly made up. There's a lot of people who would say the same thing about Em (just look at all the hate he gets on this site).

I’m glad he didnt mention The Game,
Just like I’m glad Ross didnt either.
Everything about The Game screams ”ignore him til he fades away”. He makes dope music but he craves waaay to much attention.

Those thirst traps he was posting 10 years ago really ruined all his credibility I think
Definitely something coming…
I need more music ASAP
The hooks on this album for the most part are really good, an improvement on pretty much every album post Recovery when it comes to that.
Definitely something coming…
Litttt lmao he should’ve been on the album

bad one is such a vibe and i f*** with it but if we are just nit picking i think this would have served as a better bonus track than like my s*** and i would have replaced it with another stand out track. im not sure content wise but just a track that had a little more impact/connection than just a cool track so the last act of album hit just al little harder. it would elevate it just that little bit to take it to next level
do we know if brand new dance really left off encore or is he just saying that
I really like Temporary musically. Em’s verses are the weak part of that track. Skylar and the Hailie samples >>>>

It could be the Christopher Reeves song from the OG Encore
