Rage music blows. It’s solely for in-person/concert experiences

I consider rage Carti, Yeat, Opium label, slayworld, anything that sounds WLR inspired

Emo rap is Peep, Tracy, XXX, Juice, Trippie (now he's rage), $uicideboy$ etc.

Ok so emo rap except for carti

I don't judge music by how it affects children i guess

But id say a lot of the things rage artists talk about don't make for great examples for children either

Hip hop in general isn’t the most kid friendly most of the time. I just know first hand a gang of people who started abusing opioids and getting dumb tattoos on their face all in the name of lil peep and juice wrld, was a wild time period when they were blowing up

Do you think maybe you don't see the influence that rage might have on kids because you are a little older and the people around you are less easy to influence because of that ?

But I guess an argument could be made that emo rap was more relatable to people on deeper levels due to its subject matter so it was easier to influence people where as I think rage is just seen as like fun turn up music

Idk I just think emo rap sounds better

rage music boring to me because the rappers suck but get carried by prod so it's listenable

From what I’ve seen rage just gets people to jump around and party. Most of the emo s*** talked about depression and d*** abuse to cope with said depression. Yeah rage has lyrics about d**** but its mostly about doing s*** to have fun

I think XXX was a cult like figure for a lot of fans

Carti too but he just tries to make them wild out at the show

XXX actually tried to be a leader and inspire ppl to do dumb s***

    Yeah I guess thsts fair

I kinda realized this in my post after that

Its just hard for me to condemn artists or treat their work as though its worse for talking about things in their life like that even if it might affect younger people that listen to it negatively

The way that scene turned out for the most part is pretty sad though and if anything positive came out of the more tragic events i hope it was that they acted as a warning for the younger listeners about what going down that path could lead to

It died when labels made it sound like Tik Tok music

Kid Laroi, 24kgoldn, Iann Dior, etc.

I think emo is better cause most of the emo rappers you’ve mentioned here had their own way of creating it, however everyone in rage steals either Carti or Yeats flow besides Trippie who already established himself with emo rap
