i was just playing the oblivion remaster on my pc last night
i have decent specs (rtx 4070 ti + intel i7 11700k) but its probably one of the worst optimized games i have ever played in my life
i have to use DLSS + frame generation to not have a laggy, choppy mess

i wouldn't be surprised if most artists just decide to go indie or crowdsource projects atp. it's already happening in mass. companies with big budgets have literally never cared, the goal was always to cheap out on them until the next best alternative comes along
not sure how this will turn out, but i pray that these people find success in community and that the community shows up with their money (i know i will)
