like genuinely support your local artists. even your local businesses aren't giving them a chance to make some original art for them when they decide to AI generate a hyper realistic image with that weird font (yk the one)
Thinking those docs are for devs and not for agents
Agents are trained on all kinds of material that isn't made publicly available. Epic has made tools publicly available free of cost as well. They probably understand agents are just interpolating human work.
Seen people on here talk about how AI is viewed completely different and is a lot more accepted in China. Got me thinking about my own country's attitude towards it, most local ads I see on YouTube are shamelessly using AI. Haven't watched TV in over a year but I wouldn't be surprised if this is becoming the norm on TV too
I applaud the scepticism of AI and people calling it out in the comments when a YouTube video uses AI. But the rest of the world and these big US corporations embracing AI makes it feel inevitable. It's going to be another tool that everyone uses like the Internet, hell people have already replaced Google with ChatGPT and Google themselves are pushing AI at the top of every search result. I don't think it's realistic to expect the biggest corporations to refrain from using AI when all their competitors are cutting costs/improving efficiency by using it
The creators of Unreal Engine, probably the engine most games are made with, pushing a game where the humans refine the work created by AI instead of the other way around is some scary s***. Can see this being the norm for game development by the time we hit 2030

It will come down to how its used. It should be labeled. If it makes sense. In coding who cares. In creativity it matters. Using it for military operations and targeting I disagree with. Programming games or tedious work I personally care less. Obviously in a perfect world would love art that doesnt use ai but again it comes down to how its used. It will be if no written code leads to more or less bugs. That is essentially what it comes down to . Does it make this more efficient and better content or lead to soul lessness
we can maximise output to 3-5 wolverines a year instead of only 1 👀🔥

5 Mutant games in a year and in the next year we get a X Men game
Unembodied intelligence

It is the norm I'm afraid and it got out of hand. I only watch football on TV, but I swear even with my limited watch time 9 out of 10 ads are AI.
The following video has some examples of ads in my country

sounds like this will make development both cheaper and faster which means better products for us. they wouldnt do this for no reason

i wish the industry was like how it was 20 years ago, we could just have an x men game without each character having their own solo first

Cheaper for them while being the same price for us tho

Got to milk it

It actually matters in coding too lol. There's been an uptick in GitHub repositories that are nothing but AI slop and you don't want that fogging up the ecosystem because a lot of that code is expensive and littered with vulnerabilities. You don't want the beginners latching onto that either.
AI doesn’t cry about crunch so we can finally bring crunch back

oh yeah it matters every where for sure. I am more saying base code before it gets to things where I think it needs humans. Again there is no good part for ai to work on in my mind
As long as you don’t f*** with unreal engine I do not care

Per jason this also applies to unreal and unreal 6 is an ai first created engine and all updates and itterations and bug fixes will be with ai
The timing of this was impeccable though with all the good ai is doing in gaming rn
Tim Sweeney looks like he wasnt cooked long enough in the womb
:
Literally hire modders ( not ai) to help update your games
Introducing the new epic games store / launcher
per blog post FULLY vibe coded
Programming is hard. So, instead of doing that, we vibe coded a new Epic Games Launcher that’s way faster and more responsive than the current one, and has a new look.
