Underachievers Flatbush zombies
That whole Beast coast / New New York wave was huge early 2010s but by the end of the decade that s*** just died out they just retained their core fanbases.
Fergie used to be one of the biggest pop stars in the world

It was a product of the moment in my opinion.Rocky was able to take Clams & SGP style and capitalize on it. I’ve got no desire to ever go back to it. I’m sure there’s a lot of people that do consider it a classic, but I doubt future generations will
this is a take.. and not a great one at all lol
Wale’s come up in 2008-2009. He was in the original Big 3 with Cudi and Drake at that time.
Brockhampton in 2017. After the Ameer s***, niggas wrote them off which moreso has to do with people hating their fanbase tbh
Vic Mensa before U Mad
that feature run from gkmc to tpab was straight ass and i’m a kendrick stan

All 2012 to 2015 and this just off top of my head lol. Sure i guess if all you remember is the one imagine dragons song. He has one of the biggest featured lists of any artist from OD to TPAB and most of them happened inbetween gkmc and tpab when he was constantly on tour by himself and with kanye.
From the most obscured niggas to the most mainstream from rap to rnb to pop to jazz (even before tpab with terrace, robert glasper, thundercat, flying lo etc.) to soundtracks.
Just proved one of my 4 points in op. Thank u.
Ge was literally on some Lil Wayne s*** doing everything by everyone everywhere lol.

Lol its one of the biggest of the decade and one of the most organic and its still getting spins when it got rereleased
Your personal opinion doesnt affect what the overall thought is
And rocky is literally one of the very few artists along with travis and future that the "kids of today: still mention
Half his albums were disappointing but that doesnt negate his massive mixtape, perhaps the biggest of the 2010s + being an icon
He didn‘t really take s*** imo they both have produced on the album, they gave him the sound and embraced him. SGP beefed with him later on and he did two songs on it. The Raider Klan s*** was also about aesthetics where I agree that A$AP was biting. But soundwise I think a soup of inspirations is not a bad thing. He flowed like Bone Thugs (some even say like Ye & Wiz too), mixed it with production from a different new era and the peers / best producers have worked on it.
Wether if he did or didnt doesnt matter
What the impact and status it did does
And those that were around the time paying attention know
And i was a raider klan + mob fan s/o yung simmie
first two cam albums are amazing. i no cap got SDE over Purple Haze and CHWM
I used to feel that way about SDE years ago
It good but over time Purple Haze and Follow Me Home still his top 2 at the end of it all, for me
We as a society act like the frat rap movement between like 2010-2012 never happened and literally nobody would admit they ever listened to that s***. We also have memory holed the mash up era which went hand in hand and was equally bad
