i know (not personally, through a friend) an eSports gamer who has been on ESPN, he agrees that eSports is not an actual sport, he said that they are just using the platform so video games dont die (because believe it or not the video game industry is going downhill atm)

what are sports to you? Sports are rooted in competition and require physical skill and prowess. Drop lebron from a fortnite plane and lmk how many kills he's getting. I bet ninja can make a layup before he gets one.

Not saying it can't be, but then essentially every skill or hobby is a sport. And I guarantee you ninja hasn't had to work his entire life to get to his skill level in his sport the way lebron has. A professional athlete has to live their sport

Some people don’t realize how much physical energetic competing at a videogame takes.

I only follow the FGC so I can’t speak for other games but if they play too many high level sets on one day they absolutely exhausted both mentally and physically and there hands can often hurt from playing.

Melee pro Hax had to develop his own controller because competing at Melee physically messed up his hands to the point where he couldn’t play using a GameCube controller anymore and now uses a FGC stick like pad but tailored to smash.

It’s physically exhausting to compete at a high level.

S***is considered a sport, so too is e-sports. HOWEVER, it's levels to it and if you're saying gaming is on the same level as physical sports like a Football, Basketball, Soccer... Don't do that

1. Personally never heard of a high level game of charades. Charades is meant 100% to have fun and nothing else.
2. Nobody plays Cherades for money
3. If Cherades takes physical energy out of you, then you might need to consider exercising

High level Melee is just as hard as high level soccer.

Obviously soccer takes more out of you physically though
