the ability to combine and synchronize the human mind with the human body is uncanny

much like dancing or any other physical performance that almost always involves PHYSICAL muscle memory, precision and coordination of the whole body

..............and playing video games is not nearly the same thing

You had me agreeing until that last sentence.

Videogames is that same thing. You need Mind/body and hand/eye coordination to be good at games at an elite professional level.

If you ask an athlete to get good at a game they might never can and if you ask a gamer to get good at a sport they might never can

In both situations, a person is playing a “game” that another person created for fun, until money is involved

Just because you dedicate your childhood to playing a physical sport and get the chance to ride the pine in the NBA or NFL doesn’t make you better than the kid making Ms and winning tournaments in a gaming league

    Yeah it’s a sport dweeb

Yes, racing is a sport. Dictionary.com defines a sport as “an athletic activity requiring skill or physical prowess and often of a competitive nature, as racing, baseball, tennis, golf, bowling, wrestling, boxing, hunting finishing, etc

    well f*** me

i guess gaming is a sport then? but there's no way it takes the same amount of mental and physical training as any paid sport...

I’d argue it takes more mental out of someone and less physical. But it still does take physical energy.

I mean the ability to learn a game to its very core in terms of mechanics and the hand eye coordination needed in some of those games like CS:GO is decent amount of mental/physical training.

To be real not everyone can be that good at games let's be real, there is a physical aspect to it as well.
