Paris isnt this ethereal city of romance and beauty like it is in the movies. Its very dirty and the people are rude with no patience. Theres literally a phenomenon of people going to paris and being deceived

paris man, it's crazy seeing homeless people sleeping in the street like that. maybe it's bc i'm from a small town in eastern europe & not used to seeing poverty on such a large scale, but that trip to paris kind of broke me. saw people fighting on every corner too, really weird vibe overall. started questioning a lot of stuff
My Paris hotel had roaches and wooden planks as bed but that builds character. Long live Ibis hotels
Ljubljana is a beautiful city too,I only spent a day,but it was so calm and relaxing, loved every second of it.
Never seen a cleaner city
Paris getting torn apart ITT I had a great time there wtf
To be fair I was there years ago so maybe things got a little worse since then
facts. visited paris several times. it's ugly, dirty and expensive as hell. people are ignorant and unfriendly. i could name 100 more negative aspects
Frfr triggers me too i went on a two day trip from london to paris and i couldn’t wait to get back to london by the afternoon

and the castle too.
the north-west part of the country too, the lakes are so clear and full of fish, bc they're strict on preserving nature

Fr eastern europe gets a bad rap, but everytime I travel to western europe cities I'm shook. Poverty everywhere and I have a hard time just accepting that. And its mostly minorities. Romantic visions of Paris or Rome can get ruined real quick...

oh really? Well I was only there for 5 days and just turned 18 so maybe I was easy to impress at that time.
also how feasible is it driving city to city in a week
say Munich to Barcelona

Sometimes it surprises me how much of an issue that still is... sadly.
rome and paris are overrun with tourists, tourists traps and scams so id honestly avoid them
if youre looking to party berlin and prague are the best cities imo
if youre looking for culture florence is probably the most beautiful city ive ever been too and theres some of the most iconic art too
i also really enjoyed my stay in bologna, a lesser known city in italy but there are a lotttt of students from all over europe there and the whole vibe in the city seemed great. also relatively cheap compared to other southern/western european cities because its not overrun by tourists

flights are dirt cheap, you will waste a lot of time driving around like that

flights probably cheaper than having to deal with the fees for highways.
