Y'all are well informed on your perspective
For example, if you're anti-ESL, it's cus you're concerned about how it will change soccer as it currently exists
The other perspective is how soccer will look in the future, disregarding how it currently stands.
So it's not that one side doesn't know. It's that the two viewpoints are totally different
We had Synopsis in here suggesting s*** on how to fix the sport when he doesn't even get the offside rule. And he wasn't the only one trying to provide input when clearly ignorant on the most basic aspects of the sport. Sometimes its just better to listen than to be heard
Josh Kroenke : We will rebuild, we believe we are fit to go forward with AFC, we were put in a difficult situation by sources outside the Club
"Clubs are calling on UEFA for sanctions on Real Madrid and Juve, leaders of the last few days. It's been suggested to ban them from the CL for a year. UEFA is preparing clauses to prevent such actions in the future. New registration rules, reformed FFP & salary cap are being discussed." (Gazetta)

What do you think the implications of a salary cap would be on the league?

depends how its implemented, its mostly chatter imo

If UEFA can just up and do this sorry of thing to some of their biggest money makers, why wouldn't they want to breakaway.
Thread is evidence of why America faces some of the problems they currently do. Bunch of people who don't know s*** about a subject still trying to provide input and solutions instead of sitting back and allowing themselves to be educated by those more informed on it
I don't think Europeans have reacted any better, Gary Neville told people to be upset, and they did before any real information was released on the ESL, and they did. It wasn't really discussed or anything, people were just outraged, while the Qataris were making power moves
Yikes
dope!
Good
Makes UEFA invincible, so they can continue to screw fans over unchallenged by the people who actually give football value. Managers
Don't see why this is good for football at all
dope!
This would probably be the worst thing to come out of all of this, worse than the Super League, or the reformed Champions League.

No if we are being realistic UEFA has to be the European cup leaders no matter what for the football pyramid. This way there is no distractIon and we can just put emphasis on inducting change rather than these petty distractions. Your living in a fantasy land if you think otherwise

Why does an organisation that has shown itself time and time again to be crooked to the core have to be the leader? Let actual football people make the decisions not UEFA, otherwise we'll have more Nations Leagues type competition, more Conference Leagues.
Do we need Neville to tell us to be angry with UEFA as well?
Youre going to accuse me of living in a fantasy land for recognising how cancerous UEFA are, and the pointing out the danger of removing any possible leverage over them

Do you not think UEFA is being painted as the bad guy as well because they definitely are. All of your posts have been about the same thing and over and over again

I'm not the one saying UEFA should just be ones who organise football competitions, simply for being UEFA

They are essentially the ones who should be running the European cup as it fits in footballing pyramid. Compare UEFA to America under Trump yeah we have terrible leaders and it’s turn to a s*** show but does that mean we should turn ourselves into a dictatorship... no. We have to have leaders rise up to stand up and make change not blow the entire system up to let someone else make a cash grab while leaving a large amount of small clubs in shambles. We have seen change can start from the bottom

Now this is wishful thinking, Platini and co were booted out of UEFA, and the organisation hasn't changed at all. And even before Platini, UEFA was this way.
And why have you decided clubs acting outside what an organisation that you can acknowledge is s*** automatically have to be against the interest of football? Surely clubs should be a lot more aware of the realities of the sport than some suits in Basel.
Even with the American a***ogy it's been a s***show pretty much since its inception, there's a point you have to come to terms that something simply doesn't work.

Don’t hate the player hate the game and the game is FIFA. I’m an Ecuadorean and I’ll tell you CONEMBOL is 3x s***tier than UEFA. Let me know when you find a replacement for all of these entities. If all football fans has the same mentality as you Perez would be laughing his ass to the bank yesterday

That's why I'm in favour of clubs having the power to form breakaway competitions. Who even votes for the heads of UEFA?

That’s what they were trying to do and look how that turned out
