and everyone can pirate everything and we can go back to no one making money off music like it was pre streaming
Artists made more money in the peak of piracy than now.
am i supposed to know what this is?
If you have above surface level knowledge of the industry you should know what even is
Artists made more money in the peak of piracy than now.
Dont think thats necessarily true tbh. Artists were getting shafted by the label regarding physical sales too. The overarching issue with the music industry isnt consumption its predatory label arrangements

Any time they start talking like this I be out
They're going to be launching a superfan tier on streaming services soon lol it's not going anywhere
If people pay for this then they are truly idiots.
Saw the writing on the wall with Spotify wrapped but it’s kinda crazy it took this long to monetize stanning in this way
and everyone can pirate everything and we can go back to no one making money off music like it was pre streaming
I swear people completely forget that the entire industry was on life support because of piracy before streaming came about.
how long till j cole loot boxes
just gonna be folks in public randomly sleep with a opened box in front of them
the racist fake insider was losing their s*** over this a couple weeks ago, ready for the shambles
Which of those artists are indie
yeah hopefully labels smarten up and take everything off streaming
don't care about the fall off but if you like an artist you should purchase their work. and own it forever instead of paying a monthly fee over your lifetime for access to their music that can be changed and altered at any time without your permission
Most annoying poster right now

I agree with this . Much of the music I listen to on streaming is more to be included in the conversation and discussion . On some artist though I think only those willing to purchase should be included in discussion . I think it’s an issue that cost of living going so high people can justify streaming cost for amount of content vs one new album a month . Even if we truly only love one Album a month

There are worse users who get blocked and beg for attention to argue with them
I don't understand this enough to have a strong opinion on it but my gut feeling is this is a bad thing for independent artists. I hope this leads to a return to mixtapes though
If streaming goes away people will just pirate music again. A lot of you guys forget Napster and Limewire lol. People were not just buying music before streaming services became a thing.
I’ve been interning for EVEN Labs and we’ve developed a serum that can turn any fan into a completely psychotic superfan 😃

Okay so hey guys, lots of chatter. What is this exactly?? I don't want to be forcibly Barb-ed or Swiftied, is that what this is?

People do see streaming as cheaper when really it’s much more expensive and you own nothing.
