The thread was to appreciate 80s rap energy and if the 69 comment wasn’t a comparison, I just don’t see how it pertained to the thread. I was saying that when people discern rapper energy it isn't just shouting that people refer to. I don't think thats ever been the case. What the rapper is saying is what's driving the energy. If they aren't really saying anything to match or exemplify said energy then it's hard to find whats being said compelling. I gave peak 69 as a contemporary example.
