I think Ash vs Evil Dead makes it clear that it's all in the same universe. I mean we see Cheryl come back plus Ash still has his mechanical hand from Army of Darkness.

Evil Dead II is a remake for sure but now we're supposed to believe Ash lost his memory and was drawn back to the cabin again. It doesn't make sense but I like how they keep retconning s***.

I mean how to you explain Ash being worshipped as a king at the end of Evil Dead II only for him to be thrown in a pit to die in Army of Darkness lol Before the series all of the films felt like their own thing but now they're all connected. I've always felt like they were too and just accepted the retconning. The series makes it clear tho, it just doesn't give a f*** if any of it makes sense.

I kind of wish the lead from the remake shows up. The sort of continuity of all this stuff is a mess anyway but that’s why it’s fun. You can basically pick your own timeline or style out of the franchise. It’s such a fun consistently good series whether it’s leaning more into horror or comedy or perfectly balancing both.

Glad to hear this is testing well. Excited for the theatrical release
