Personally I think Jay and Nas have one of those lightly combative artistic rivalries where they keep tabs on each other and try to build on what the other is doing, but there's no hate anymore.

You definitely don't have to hate your rival. I think back in the day the Beatles and Beach Boys had a "fuck, they did THAT" feeling about each other, but how can you hate someone that brings the best out of you? No way.

With everything that was going on at home and with Kanye this past decade, I'm sure Jay is chill with Nas and vice versa. All the old s*** is in the rearview. Doubt we get a collab album but it would be great if they were on their 4:44/King's Disease tip.

Good example with the Beatles and Beach Boys. That's exactly how it is. An artistic rivalry, nothing more, at this point.

she said that Jay used to call Nas' phone when and leave messages like "Yo son, what's up it's me, uh me and Premo are doin a track right now, and uh there's 16 bars open you wanna drop a verse..."

she said they were at a party once and Jay thought it would be funny if he started clownin Nas about his chip tooth and he was sayin stuff like "Yo Nas come over here and open this Henessey...nah I'm jus playin homie" but Nas didn't smile or nothin, he jus gave Jay a blank look...

she said that when she was with Jay he'd ask her weird questions about her and Nas, like what positions Nas liked to hit, and weird stuff... she said Jay-Z was obsessed with Nas

she said in Jay's Manhattan appartment Jay had a huge vinyl collection of rare Nas singles and @#%$...

Jay legit wants to be Nas

I truly think Nas just living rent free in Hov’s head after all these years. Like my nigga is still hurt after Ether.

I relistened to Ether the other day and honestly, I don’t even blame him. He literally sat there for like 5 minutes straight and roasted every part of this man’s identity, from his looks, to his record, to his rap persona, to him taking Biggie’s bars.

Idgaf if you worth damn near a billion, that type of disrespect will sit with you forever.

Ether was the type of song that will humble and humanize anybody thinking they're godly. Nas brought that most successful man in Hip-Hop down to a child's level and revealed all of his flaws in front of the world. Ether is the soundtrack to every one of Hov's nightmares.

Ye is Nas, Drake is Hov

Ye got the most classic and just the shoe division of Yeezy is worth more than all 3 combined though how does that compute?

  • Let's just enjoy these two rap legends and leave the bs aside...

Yeah but Drake sells more than Ye these days just like Hov's sales are higher than Nas'. And Drake came up with a sound that was built on Ye and looks up to him just like Hov does with Nas. The main difference is that Push dropped the Ether for Ye lol.

Yessir. That’s why niggas try their best to damage control by saying it’s a low-level diss. They’ll turn around and gas up No Vaseline or Hit Em Up.

It’s also the same reason why Push deserves his credits. That verse basically was what Nas did to Hov. And again, you got the people saying “too far, low blow etc.” It has and always will be part of rap culture

Remember on blueprint 2 when he admitted he lost and used 9/11 for pity points cause he gave a staggering $1 for every ticket sold on his tour

Remember when he made a song called b****es and sisters coincidentally after nas called him out for hating women

    OH BEHAAAVE
