its kinda corny in retrospect but its by far the most charming and most accurate to what car culture was like around 2000/2001. for us car guys its basically a sacred movie at this point

Still a cool movie. The best in the franchise.

There's a rumor they're doing a part two but it's gonna be garbage.

I think the atmosphere and location plays a huge part in that movie, seeing the underground world of tokyo was cool, can definitely see a sequel being just as fascinating for western audiences

There was also that air of early 2000 nostalgia that made it great.
They also don't make cheesy Highschool romance films anymore either. I have a feeling if they go back to Tokyo it's gonna be about special ops and sci fi bullshit

I've seen the original Fast and Furious 239 times but Tokyo Drift is definitely my favorite. Y'know? Because the sick JDM whips, man.

oh for sure if they stick with the mission impossible bs it’ll never hit like the original but then again returning to car culture would be much better received regardless of what city they do
