The title of the article even says they discovered the bots. You don't "discover" something that you made. I hate corporations but there are better ways to criticize them than spreading misinformation like @op

i personally hate that a lot of people on the internet can’t distinguish what’s obviously fake and what’s real

all it takes is a bit of research after you read something or a quick look at a social media profile to know if it’s fake or not

but a lot of people don’t do that

we should teach internet literacy in schools

I mean it’s harder than y’all think

You act like we don’t have a generation of adults, probably some of which our parents etc that grew up with just whatever news they had on paper/whatever aired on TV

They all have inherent biases, they’re not evil and you don’t have to demonize them but they’re absolutely gonna be looking at it thru the lense of western propaganda

And then those same people have children and the cycle continues. Sure Gen Z/millennials have started to break that cycle slowly and think for themselves but you’re ignoring the millions of Americans already deep in and literally don’t know any better

Like a quick google search for anything does nothing when you have no clue what to look for, if the source you’re looking at is even trustworthy, how to even differentiate between sensationalism and actual fact telling.
