Why these protests are anti-government/anti-communism
There has been some dispute by users who claim that these protests, were people scream "Down with Communism!", have nothing to do with protests against the (communistic) regime. This even went as far as mods editing this out of the title, perhaps they were being pressured to do so by some users, so I don't blame them. However, in reality, every single major newsoutlet is of course reporting that these protests are, in fact, protests against the government. If we discredit every single news-source for partisan reasons we will fall into trumpistic denial, so let's not do that, please.
Here are just some sources from some of the biggest newspapers on earth discussing why it's anti-government/anti-communism:

Anti-government/communism parties involved in these protests
Assembly of the Cuban Resistance
miami.cbslocal.com/2021/07/12/pro-democracy-human-rights-group-assembly-of-cuban-resistance-freedom-cuba
The ACR is a coalition of anti-government human rights groups inside and outside Cuba. The ACR considers the Castro regime illegal, and supports free elections and the release of all political prisoners.
Patriotic Union of Cuba
reuters.com/world/americas/cubas-president-blames-discontent-us-sanctions-2021-07-12
The PUC is a Cuban dissident organization, described as one of the largest and most active dissident organizations in Cuba, which brings together numerous dissidents in Cuba. It was founded on 24 August 2011 by José Daniel Ferrer, after ceasing to be a member of the Christian Liberation Movement. It has defined itself as a civic organization that advocates for a peaceful but firm fight against any repression of civil liberties in the Republic of Cuba.
San Isidro Movement
wsj.com/articles/cuba-protests-dissidents-san-isidro-patria-y-vida-11626198332
San Isidro Movement is a group of Cuban artists, journalists and academics formed in 2018 to protest against the government's increased censorship of artistic expression in Cuba. The group's members have staged protests, performances and interventions that have resulted in arrests and retaliatory actions by the Cuban government.
Reports
Protesters shouted "freedom" and "down with the dictatorship" in demonstrations across Cuba, including the capital Havana.
"We are not afraid. We want change, we do not want any more dictatorship," an unnamed protester in San Antonio told the BBC.
Dozens of anti-government protesters were arrested by security forces who were assisted by plain clothes officers, Reuters news agency reports. Images on social media showed what appeared to be security forces detaining, beating and pepper-spraying some of the protesters.
While the crowds of protesters do not look particularly large, the significance of thousands of Cubans taking to the streets across the country can hardly be overstated.
Shouting "Freedom!" and "Down with Communism!" may be considered tame in other parts of the world, but doing so on the tightly controlled Communist-run island can easily land you in jail.
The fact that people are daring to do so in small towns where they can be easily identified by the Communist authorities shows the levels of anger fuelling these protests.
And with protesters live-streaming footage on social media sites, the government is finding it hard to hide evidence of the discontent.
A video uploaded by the Cuban foreign minister showing government loyalists marching and shouting "These streets belong to Fidel Castro, the late Cuban revolutionary leader" was quickly countered by government critics sharing footage of the protests.
the police is beating the protesters, including minors (!)
The "president" (dictator) also calls for his supporters to "physically confront" the protesters.
"The order to fight has been given - into the street, revolutionaries!" he announced.
How are you guys defending this???

wonder how long Cuba in its current form will last
Without Fidels heavy hand cuba’s communistic dictatorship will fall eventually. I give it a few years max personally.
This will end up like the Hong Kong protests: CIA s*** going absolutely nowhere
Quote me in 1 year
communists lost
The people are fed up and no amount of privileged kids roleplaying on KTT will change that. Wake up to reality
I can already see certain posters saying that this is being orchestrated by CIA or whatever
I can already see certain posters saying that this is being orchestrated by CIA or whatever
Wonder why all the blue checks starting posting about Cuba randomly 3 days ago before these protests already happened? Can Mia Khalifa see into the future?
Or was there a front-NGO paying them to post this s***?
capitalism best
yet another CIA psyop
I can already see certain posters saying that this is being orchestrated by CIA or whatever
because thats what it is
The people are fed up and no amount of privileged kids roleplaying on KTT will change that. Wake up to reality
This is like me claiming the USA will fall because of the George Floyd protests
Lmao
bunch of random accounts start tweeting sos cuba (same s*** they did with nicaragua lol) and now all of a sudden we have protests in cuba where dudes are carrying around the american flag while a bunch of blue check twitter accounts tweet out a bunch of info lmao. yeah, sure.
I will say if this starts to get a lot of coverage in the US it'd be a lil suspect. Mostly because US media has hardly ever really gave a f*** about Cuba despite a lot of crazy s*** going on over there the last few years. Probably longer than that of course.
FYI to all posters, these are pro-government supporters protesting against the obvious CIA campaign that has started
it’s almost like that system doesn’t work
but i also wouldn’t put it past the powers that be to conduct some sort of psyop either
