Just goes to show how GOAT he is tbh
Agreed
Last 3 albums were put together on like a month span each and s*** still was fire lmao
Think JIK just surpassed 500 million plays on Spotify too so it's definitely still getting spins lol
Selah, follow God, closed on sunday, on God and God getting plays from me till the day i die
Heard that s*** was straight booty cheeks
nah it just wasn't a classic. it was atleast a 6 out of 10 album but for Kanye we expect an 8-10 every time so you can't help but be disappointed.
Yeah it sucked but Yandhi was fire so it made up for it
Slave Name
80 Degrees
Closed On Sunday song and video still too powerful
choir version is so good
Honestly never gave the album a spin after that first week but now with the new leaks I be building my archive and there’s definitely some standouts.
Up From The Ashes hot, Follow God still a top 20 song, the Dre mixes are straight ass but things like Through the Valley make the era worth it. Think we still stuck in the same phase we been in for the last 5 years where there’s definitely a classic idea it’s just not be executed to the fullest extent.
I still listen to ye, ksg, and jik
There was a time period when I listened to ksg everyday
Closed On Sunday song and video still too powerful
Wish he had the choir sing his part in the original song
Was godly

10/10 classic

Nah I love ye's energy in that
Also now we have two versions so no one loses
Tbh The best thing you can say about jik is that the songs are unique to kanye like no one would think of putting songs together in that way, wether he produced them himself or arranged it
Still trash tho
I like to pretend Pablo was the last album
i feel like the chapter of his career where music was his primary passion was on a decline since the Yeezus era and fully ended after Pablo.
Nah not at all Kanye was getting hated on heavily for leaning to pop plus he called himself a designer instead of a rapper during that era and the backlash was swift.
Alot of people misremember the 50 v Ye thing as just gangster rap vs alternative.
But for alot of folks in Hip Hop Kanye represented pop and when he dropped Stronger he gained alot of fans in the mainstream but it made him a target.
He then also posed as Jesus Christ and the hate in Hip Hop increased aswell
I always say Kanye era's are never remembered for how truly wild they ALL are.
Grad was HUGE because it crossed over but he lost that Mos Def conscious fanbase respect at the same time.
To explain how alot of Ye fanbase saw that album as a sellout album There's no Jesus Walks or Crack Music on Grad and Ye also spoke on wanting to be like U2.
I could go on and on about that time period 06-09 that was his peak AND lowest point believe me
Tell em free!
These youngsters don’t know s***
