Yes, it doesn't have the best writing. But it still features the endlessly fun cycle of exploration and using vats to shoot a mf's head off. I really enjoyed it for what it was and never understood the hate. I've always been a big fallout fan though. Plus I like the companions you get in this one. Nick valentine and Hancock are goated

I'm about to play with mods the first time and It's going to be 3X better than the first time I played. If you didn't like it the first time, try some mods out and see if that changes things for you

Like all Bethesda games after Oblivion, s*** really needs mods to even feel like a complete game. I just feel like they've been rehashing the same s*** over and over.

FO4 has cool gameplay, but the atmosphere/storytelling/characters in the game are very meh. I'd say it's 100% better than FO3 tho

Its weaker on the choice & story, but its still good & especially the dlcs. I do think the older games have better companions as well, but 4 still has a few good ones. F4 even tho lesser than its gen, still looks way better than 3 n nv as well of course.

I watched a YouTube video criticizing the game. I kept an open mind not to just agree with the video because of my own lackluster experience. Nearly every point he made was valid. From the way Power armor is just handed to you when before it was a luxury item that few could utilize. From how dialogue is literally meaning.

The player can flat out tell The minuteman dude “No, I don’t want to help you”. And he will just respond the same way if you said yes. Like, “Okay head to the roof and get the power armor.”

Fallout 4 is just not a fun game if you want to role play. If you want to just shoot stuff and build settlements, then I guess it’s alright.

i am replaying fallout 4 atm, i remember finishing the game at release but never went back to play the dlcs. Heard one of them is really good

After constantly seeing fallout slander ever since this game and especially after 76 I wonder why people held it to such a high pedestal in the first place because I was too young to play the original fallout games but I was old enough to understand the gravity of fallout4 coming out in 2015 + how impactful it was to so many

I feel this franchise built the name off of being one of the first major RPG games to properly create fleshed out plot lines for every situation but the writing didn’t improve with technology

I still love the world and the visuals of this game though I can’t lie
