Far Harbor is really good. Nuka World is fun and new but much like the main game the story doesn’t mean f*** all.

DefaultThe bad writing and redundant dialogue system, goofy guilds and pointless plot kill the game.
I watched a YouTube video criticizing the game. I kept an open mind not to just agree with the video because of my own lackluster experience. Nearly every point he made was valid. From the way Power armor is just handed to you when before it was a luxury item that few could utilize. From how dialogue is literally meaning.
The player can flat out tell The minuteman dude “No, I don’t want to help you”. And he will just respond the same way if you said yes. Like, “Okay head to the roof and get the power armor.”
Fallout 4 is just not a fun game if you want to role play. If you want to just shoot stuff and build settlements, then I guess it’s alright.
The only people worse than the YouTubers who create 2 hour essays nitpicking every part of a video game are the people who watch those videos just to justify their own opinions lmao

Mar 22, 2022·1 replythe shooting is better than older fallouts but the game just washed over me, just boring. and the dialogue system is trash. todd howard even admitted in an interview that a voiced protag was a mistake. also the skills/perk overhaul was lame. and giving you power armor in the first 30 mins of gameplay was dumb too. i never beat it but all the radiant quest s*** did not work for me at all. 3/NV way better.

the radiant quests are the worst part, hated them in Skyrim too
the dialogue system was a huge step back from fallout 3 and nv but I’m hopeful they’ll get it right with fallout 5

Fallout being a Bethesda series automatically s***s on 99% of games, few studios makes games this detailed and immersive and none are damn near life sims like the sims games themselves
