To be fair there was news that fallout 5 development had started last year, July 2025. Phil was still working there at the time. In general though fallout has been mismanaged for sure.

Well when asked about fallout 5 a while back he did say “if I could wave my hand and have Fallout 5 out – you know, I'd like to find a way to accelerate what we do”

so maybe he’s ready to let others make more decisions. He is nearing retirement age as well.
