Pablo Honey is only horrendous if you’re directly comparing it to their later stuff that recontexualized them as a band. Aruji said this better but Thom leans into his emotions more and bellows out some beautiful notes. As overplayed as Creep is, that “run, run, ruuuuuun” part is as powerful as he gets. It’s a nice 90’s sounding album, got a bit of Britpop, a bit of Grunge, a bit of R.E.M. influenced alt stuff. It puts you in a time and place. It’s more successful at doing that than Hail To The Thief’s collage of ideas that don’t flow together.

It's a few degrees hotter today but there's a nice breeze so it's not too bad yet. Place a few hours north of here broke the all time record for hottest place in Canada ever today :ohno: a record that was set yesterday :ohno:

Luckily my bestie lives nearby and has a pool so that's where we been for the last 3 evenings
