I think Scaruffi had like their debut in like his top 10 rock albums of all time. I was always baffled by that. I guess I just feel Morrison is a bit hacky, never bought into his lyricism.

half of Waiting for the Sun is still great imo. album is let down by Manzarek's worst keyboard sounds ever. dont think Soft Parade is a bad album but yeah just a step down for their standards, at least they tried to be creative though

Yeah he is pretty polarizing but Iggy formed the Stooges immediately after witnessing them and Patti Smith was an extreme stan and Lester Bangs and Shrek hated them more than anyone some random examples. @Lawdie a big stan too.

They're a classic to me but the two middle albums are embarrassing

i like the album

i've come to realize i have a higher tolerance than most people for subpar music. it's pretty rare that something is outright trash to me, usually albums like Soft Parade just aren't good but don't offend me in any way

even Kanye's Nah Nah Nah which people act like is the worst thing ever made didn't offend my ears. and later career Beach Boys generally wasn't as awful as I was expecting

i swear the music they play when I go to the grocery store is some of the worst s*** i've ever heard
