Yeah you’ve said before you didn’t really jive with Flaming Lips either so it makes sense. I personally just love that sound. It’s like what I like about Baroque/Psych pop rock taken to a grander level.

i did like Yerself Is Steam a good amount though. i should probably check out Boces, i just skipped ahead to Deserter's Songs because i read good things about it

clouds taste metallic was my favorite flaming lips album. i could definitely see myself warming up to more of their stuff eventually

I like both bands more accessible stuff mostly cause I think they took what they learned from their more experimental earlier work and figured out how to craft more compelling consistent songs from it. That being said I do really like Yerself Is Steam.
