thinking of giving up on playing piano again. (only been playing again for 1.5 years, previously quit at age ~14)

it's just such a chore and im not enjoying it at all. but i feel conflicted because i managed to actually get pretty good again and probably have some level of talent, feels like a waste maybe im just meant to be a music lover and not someone who creates/plays

Yeah I do. I’m not very good. Pretty basic stuff but I like to play to help flesh out melodies in my head. I’m a better drummer.

I started playing seriously again a couple years ago. Hiring an instructor can be good because it forces you to practice for the lessons and gives you something to work towards.

yeah maybe i should try getting a teacher or taking a class or something
