I was talking to shrek about the braves game and clicked on a random profile on my timeline for the first time in months, and saw a pop-up explaining "how to tip twitter users you enjoy" and my mouth dropped lol

And you have to turn on the option in your profile manually, it's not automatically on for all users. Which means people literally have to be thinking that their tweets (and themselves) are so great and likable that people might give them money because of it, so they turn on the tip button.
