    Never cared for that

Don’t get me wrong. It’s very good. I just like their 80’s stuff more.

does anyone in here follow Boruto? is it good? I'm currently going through the early Naruto chapters and I've been reading a lot about the new stories that are happening now and even though I was extremely pissed at that moment when Kaguya was suddenly the ultimate villain of the manga I'm somewhat interested. However, Naruto was imo that strong because of Naruto and his philosophy being pitched against the ninja world.

Finally getting to Wish and I don’t get why this is seen more as a low point for some people. It continues to build from Disintegration but replaces the overt darkness with a bright 90’s optimism. I like it more than Kiss Me honestly.

yeah im taking it over Head on the Door and probably bout equal with Kiss Me. above the Top and debut as well

Naruto the actual manga is very good surprisingly. I was skeptical of it for years but finally decided to give it a shot back when I had more time on my hands after my car accident. I think it peaks in the Pain arc but it still resolves itself pretty well by the end of the whole series. I haven’t kept up with Boruto though. I guess I found the premise of “the next generation of ninjas” kinda cliche and silly so I never gave it a chance. Have you tried One Piece which to me is the peak of this sub genre of manga/anime?

Your point and how it relates to the smiths are two very different things. You’re entirely ignoring the unique sounds and voice singers and musicians bring to their songs. Marr's tone is as unique as Liz’s voice. Morrissey’s emotional yet clever outlook is as unique as the Cocteau Twin guitar playing.

Smiths have so many unique songs that sound like they couldn’t be covering anyone

You're talking to a guy who watches most movies in German dub has no problem missing out on the nuances of an actor's audible delivery he thinks about these things from a weird ascended beings point of view

well, that's simply not true. Many movies are not dubbed (mostly English-language films are dubbed and then I often watch the English version because I understand the language as opposed to Japanese for example). also, we went through this.

never heard a Cocteau Twins song in me life

Dreamy shoegaze that sounds like My Bloody Valentine or Slowdive etc just really splendid background music for me

Whereas the Smiths are one of those bands with a bunch of unique classic songs with gigantic choruses and ridiculous hilarious lyrics and wild guitar flourishes and textures and they become part of your DNA. I usually have no idea where the chick is saying from Cocteau Twins and is saying and I could play their discography from back to front and never notice when the new album ends or the next one starts it's all a little too arch and stately to connect with

Yeah, I've watched it up until the Time Skip and tried to read myself through but it was so much I stopped there.

I really like the second arc of Rurouni Kenshin. I guess that would be my pick for peak shounen arc but then again, I know too little.
