I listened to a couple times more than you but we had the exact same opinion. Everything other than their first and last track, and your silent face, is boring. But idk what happened but I re-listened to it last week and it clicked.

Lot of great songs but I wish it flowed better as a record. I like it more than the JD substance though

why wish it flowed better, when its just supposed to be a singles comp? i dont remember exactly which (length) versions they picked though. but ive never even thought to listen the whole way through, i just listen to the singles whenever i want and i don't even have it formatted together as "Substance" in my library anyway

Had my bonus track system in place before I got into these bands so I'm oblivious to all these substance debates

New Order one of the ones I still like to have formatted as separate singles. partly due to some decisions you might have to make when the singles are directly in between albums and dont fit with one of the other. and partly because they got great artwork

yes, its unwieldy but feels more right to have it this way

More than anybody else I considered separating it like this because of their excellent single arts but still had to adhere to my system in the end

something ive also done is have the singles formatted as bonus tracks for the albums, but keep the single art attached so if im playing the song the single art pops up along with it

I considered that as well but iTunes is pretty glitchy lately and it would definitely show up as the main art if I tried doing individual song art
