back in late December, and much of January, I had really bad laryngitis and felt like absolute s*** for the longest time. It went away for about a week, but came back a week later. Difference was I didnt feel sick but my throat was still scratchy, was losing my voice easier (still am). Eventually went to the doctor to refer me to a specialist. Finally got in today and I found out nothing wrong with me or my vocal chords (and I don't have a tumor, thanks Doc), but the effects of laryngitis can sometimes, in worse cases, take up to 6 months to fully get better . So now I might be losing my voice on the regular and having a scratchy voice for another 5 months, f*** me.

But at least I don't have cancer

That sounds like a super extreme scenario though, like people having the hiccups for years. Doesnt laryngitis usually go away within a week or two?

I mean he used a scope to look at my throat so I'll just have to take his word that I got super unlucky with my recovery time

And yeah the first time it went away in 2 weeks but then came back and kinda been sticking around in random intervals since. Sleep and Warm water usually reset its strength

Hot toddys are great for that too. Whiskey, hot water, lemon and honey.

Welp, my husband just got a great job offer from the hospital we've been waiting to hear from for a week, and he accepted. Moving in 2-3 weeks.

    Goodbye Kentucky, hello Ohio

How many moves ago was the domestic disaster above you? Or is that what you're about to move away from? Feels like I see you post about moving states every few months

    That was in Boston.

We were in Boston from June-Oct. Then we moved to Kentucky in Nov. Then my husband's corporate overlords really f***ed him over 4 weeks ago, and he started looking for other jobs. Now he just found a great one in Columbus, Ohio with a much better community and facility.

But you're right, i have been talking about moving a lot lately, cause his a****** former company moved us twice in 6 months And if he would've stayed with them, they would've moved us TWO MORE TIMES before 2023.

damn bro i stressed over moving 3 times in 3 years, but in the same city (one of the times it was like 4 blocks ), I couldnt imagine moving state to state in such a short amount of time. goddamn

It's crazy how well swallowing a spoonful of sugar works for me. I only do that if holding my breath doesn't work though.
