I've entertained the concept of merging 50s with 60s (with an approval by @RVI and a scoff from @Elric ).

Don't think 50s on its own would make a good albums list, and I'm not one for singles/songs lists. I personally wouldn't vote in a 50s related list due to sheer lack of any knowledge at all.

I know you mentioned TPAB bout that RYM but I threw it on today for the first time in a real minute.. and yea that joint is a classic. For his 2nd mainstream album to be something that ambitious and jazzy was a p bold move imo.

I’m a fan of the album for sure...tracks like Institutionalized, Momma, u, Hood Politics, Blacker the Berry are all fantastic (also have a massive soft spot for i I just don’t think it’s a top 10 album the way RYM has it rated
