    Yeah but how many of the British Invasion bands were doing slight rewrites to avoid giving up songwriting? Can't think of many

    Also iirc they are still in court over Stairway intro which they might as well throw Spirit a frickin bone at this point cause i doubt they're living the cozy rockstar retirements they deserve

    how many of the British invasion bands were as blues oriented as the first zeppelin album though? i never cared enough to try to remember the details of the disputed ones though ngl, id probably care more if i was a total stan

    but also i thought that case was over and Spirit lost

    Mayall not "british invasion" at all to me unless youre literally just saying 60s british acts = british invasion

    i was thinking beatles,who,kinks, etc. and kinda how they usually still included pop/r&b influence even during bluesiest moments

    kinda feel like those more pure british blues acts like Mayall probably did their fair share of covering interpretations of covers of covers etc. not dissimilar to a few of those zeppelin songs but i have nothing to back it up. not in a bad way/not the argued plagiarism ones

    as if they even sound that different from the rest especially II which was the real crystallization of the sound

    Their debut is still my favorite. Babe I’m Gonna Leave You >>>>

    Physical Graffiti was like Led Zep flexing godly production especially behind the kit

    I’ve heard many sad albums but Mac Millers last album is still one of the saddest. There’s not many posthumous records that sound like they were performed from the after life. The way he says “there’s so much more waiting on the other side, I know it’ll feel like summer”.

    Nah never even heard of it. I'm on some Flannery O'connor at the moment, keep having to give myself a break cause it's relentlessly bleak lol

    @Aruji has

    terribly unfinished, a few nice ideas but mostly subpar, generic, dated. As it is easily his worst album and tbh I doubt the supposed updates can change much. I'd love to be convinced otherwise tho
