rise zero· editedhollow knight and dark souls fans are pretty much the same crowd. if you browse their reddits there's a lot of "this game helped me through a deep depression" type posts. they can be brutal but there is a sense of persevering and overcoming the challenge that's really healthy for the brain, i guess.

I think they did do that for a bit
but the time of purchase and playtime is oddly specific to a short timespan of 'shitty relationship ends - hospital visit'. I think I got into a really deep, dank area far away from any bench and died after like 3 hours without a bench. That was kindof a gut punch I guess and I' had never experienced such an heart shattering shot to the gut in a game before

will def hop back on the game cycle the second that the Breath of the Wild sequel releases though. Hoping for a darker atmosphere with more-regular-but still experimental dungeons
