Doing the hip-hop list after the original decade lists was a big mistake.

Reviving the decade lists with a s***tier version to try to counter a year long mental breakdown was my biggest mistake.

Glad I'm doing these as FAM exclusives on KTT2. These have been the most enjoyable decade lists ever. While it is arduous at times, it makes it worth it to get the lists. There was a bit of a bump between 00s and 90s but I take blame as I wasn't 100% committed to re-doing the wrongs of the redux. Glad I did. Making these layouts and counting these lists have been awesome on KTT2

That being said, I squeezed all my creative layout juices on 80s and 70s and will go for a simpler, yet still visually pleasing layout for 60s.

Damn. Well I appreciate you putting in the work. Really thought that record would resonate with you a lot. When I discovered it I was like this is a distillation of everything me and Elric been bonding over in the old psych thread.

do you ever not feel like giving that many listens to albums you arent feeling as much? like just stop at 10 or so?

is it heresy to you that I do only 5 listens a lot of the time? even 3 if im not feeling it or very devoted to that sound at the moment?

I think Odyssey and Oracle is the zenith of this brand of psych and to be fair none of these other guys got a bunch of time at Abbey Road or maybe they could've matched it

For someone who's got such a steady diet of new music yes that is heresy you got to live with these albums for a while and let them color your life or they're never going to sink in like they should. I know you're weird about making sure you're listening very intently all of the time but sometimes you got to let it play in the background for it to sink in.
