It's possible an entire generation didn't hear the sax solo

If you're saying this sarcastically like a guitar solo can't contain that many multitudes then I offer you the saxophone solo which delivered the same crushing message

idk about all that but yeah it can sorta be interpreted to symbolize that kinda thing

Gimme Shelter symbolizes that whole thing more than anything else tho. like every part of it from lyric to opening riff to guitar solo to drum entrance to merry clayton part

It is a pretty similar cover, I do like the art direction for their covers in general. Feel like this is big step up from Cavalcade, more chaotic which I love, really good.

    Sure you'll appreciate it.

Oh I've done plenty of research on the camps, unfortunately

And when you think that isn't enough you check up on what Japan was doing at the time and it's just

Whenever someone mentions the camps the first thing that comes to mind is

"Auschwitz, the meaning of pain, The way that I want you to die"

And what I learned with Elvis' Live in Memphis is that sometimes I won't appreciate those albums that people made when they're a geezer until I've grown with them as an artist and am also a bit of a geezer myself. I've checked out some of those later George Jones masterpiece singles so that I'm not completely oblivious but I really need to just get old with these albums to appreciate them my way. He's kind of like the Grateful Dead and I'm about 1.5% of the way now.

I know what you mean, but it’s crazy that Elvis was already considered an “old guy” before he hit 30. Pop culture moved at warp speed back then

Same thing happened with Sinatra before Elvis came out. Also everything changed drastically by 1960

Beach Boys were also already considered “dad” music by 1968. Carl was only 21

You’re British, right? Are they popular over there, or just with the music heads?
