havent used the phone app in forever but the site version seems the same as its always been

Oddly enough, the regular site seems more phone friendly than the app imo

Jay is like the Chuck Berry of rap or something. So much focus on finding that catchy pocket so many hits

I was saying this about the first 5 songs. Just got to L’America and that’s already more interesting.

LA Woman is contender for my favorite song by them

i also think they do the blues rock style pretty different to everyone else, with the emphasis on Manzarek keyboard style and still some psychedelia in most of those songs. especially comparing to the Brit blues rock bands. Changeling is another top blues/psych track of theirs for me and Love Her Madly is a nice lighter poppier one. I can definitely see how you could be bored by something like Cars Hiss By My Window though

love how Morrison's voice sounds on that album

That’s a good song but I think it overstays it’s welcome for me. Also I think WASP is just straight up annoying. The first and last tracks plus L’America are my highlights from it.

He went so overboard with that but it sounds authentic to something a guy in Detroit would say around that time in defense. I remember going back to listen to that album like 5 or so years ago and being taken aback by that song in particular. I expected it on the more abrasive tracks but not that one.

I need to marinate on it. For some reason with the title and your hype you had me expecting some psychedelic bliss but I just thought it was okay on first listen.

That song is filled with so much vitriol for literally everything. The beat is misguidingly mellow

I think that’s what Scaruffi dug about the album If I remember the review, like the juxtapositions. It gives it a strange atmosphere.

"I'll say it again, I need a brand new friend" segment is bliss for me Absolutely love the way the whole band comes together to achieve transcendence on those moments. Ray with his ascending arpeggios and Krieger and his articulate noodling punctuating each keyboard line

Also the bleep bloop middle section
