Lounge Act and Something in the Way are the only Nevermind songs I'm not completely sick of hearing
Same
Forgot about this
pretty good
I remember they played the hell out of this song on the NYC rock stations. Was probably my main introduction to Nirvana's music actually.

Was a breath of fresh air in a world that wouldn't stop playing f***ing Nevermind
Been rewatching Breaking Bad after finishing Saul and I still think it’s just as good if not better with the added context. It’s really obnoxious that the general reading of the show went from super reductive “Walt is a badass, his wife is annoying” to the equally reductive “Walt was always bad, his cancer was just an excuse to be evil”. It’s way more complicated than either.

I thought BB was good but never felt the need to revisit it
walt wanted to have a grip on his life after letting it slip by him, but his ego and pride led him down the wrong path… in which everyone who knew him was f***ing miserable lmfao

You're probably right but its still the thought of his wifes giant crying face always taking up the screen that stops me from revisiting

My favorite part of the Saul finale was the fact that Walt could’ve used Saul to get back into the company he left

Yeah exactly it’s a pretty easy to grasp morality tale but with complex nuanced characters. So many people now just have these really extreme one note readings on it.

Are you a fellow Saul fan? It’s so well shot I had to pause it multiple times just to take in the image longer.

Did you ever watch The Sopranos?

And yet I found Carmela fascinating to watch. I guess Edie Falco is just that good.

Yeah we’ve talked about it a ton while I was first watching it at the beginning of the year. I also feel very similarly about that show. It’s has the same common extremes of just “Tony was always evil” or “Tony rocks”. The thing that’s compelling about that show and shows like it is that the characters are likable and you want them to learn to change for the better and then become heartbroken when they can’t.

Oh ok, I guess I forgot cause you don't insufferably drop Sopranos references constantly like the rest of us

Tony's trash by the end but I always understood his motivations. I didn't really feel that with Walt at all. Always thought BB was really cartoonish and not really interesting beyond the surface. But maybe I'm not giving it enough credit.

Yeah, Breaking Bad peaked in S2 iirc but everybody hammed up s4 and S5 as Walt became a badass supervillain with no morals which I don't buy

I was laughing really hard at this the other day. You can just hear his voice saying it word for word.

i guess to be fair, Sopranos was rather cartoonish from the get-go but got more serious and a bit more grounded as the series went on.
