I like it until the ending, I feel it could've used a hard ass beat switch but instead we got that dumbass outro
Are you literally mad at this album?
he is palpably seething

Bit better I guess I do like that you can actually follow old quotes again finally
I don't like that you can't decide which part of someone's post you want to quote anymore

i click them half expecting them to take me to the wrong page

Just perplexed, just feels like a blueprint for a great album and not an actual great album. The mixing aside, MOST of the songs have underwhelming conclusions. Like Bizzle said, how many times can Kanye make a half baked record and excuse it as a reach into his complex psyche. It only worked well on TLOP.
At least Im still giving it a chance. Kanye is among my top 5ish artists ever and I feel it'd be a disservice to just completely write it off without at least giving it more time. We will see

More like one hundered percent expecting
when Kanye first comes in on God Is
when Kanye first comes in on God Is
This song grown on me a little bit. Not sure about the rasp but you can at least feel the passion.

apparently he changed some of the vocal parts on God is. i havent heard it yet though
Ok when can I edit people's quotes again to properly fit my quota while also shading the person I quoted

I haven't listened enough to notice the changes. I was obsessed with TLOP so it was easy for me to discern even the subtlest of changes for that record

You can't expect Kanye to throw himself 1000% into the music like he did on LR or MBDTF now that hes old and an unprecedented 15 years into a rap career with a handful of kids and a billion dollar company to oversee. The album is too concise for you fine... But the man gave us 2 fkn albums only a year ago so I'll allow these short "half baked" albums if it's an annual thing. If it was a 3 year wait I might be salty.
the "half baked"ness, comparisons to an artists past work, or stuff like what Bizzle said doesn't affect my enjoyment
i don't care if Kanye stans excuse an album as a reach into his complex psyche

I just like to think of it as another Kanye album and mindlessly listen to it. i don't care if he half-assed it or whatever. its a later career addition to an already large and strong discography

Yea but the half baked approach kinda made sense even last year since he produced 5 albums in 5 weeks. Really don't see the point in liking it for feeling unfinished just because it came only 1 year later. This man made LR one year after CD. Obv I dont expect that level of perfectionism but IMO this sounds like an unfinished work with a lot of cool ideas that never really go anywhere

He could've retired after MBDTF and been the goat tbh... every album after that has just been a victory lap icing on the cake etc and I am grateful he's still making albums at all let alone s*** that moves me like this

I mean this album doesn't even come close to tarnishing his legacy even though I dont like it. The dude's fire:meh ratio is off the charts

i dont see how it sounds unfinished
and i feel like saying it "doesnt really go anywhere" is either a general way to you dislike it or a dig at how it presents its climax/building momentum

You think "Follow God" sounds finished? Or "Closed on Sunday". Or "Everything We Need". The way he presents these songs would make me think there was more to go off of but couldn't think of anything and said f*** it I'll release it anyway.
Compare that to a short song like FSMH1, Feedback or Freestyle 4 and the difference is night and day.
He's a hyper deliberate dude and he gave us exactly what he wanted to of these songs. He didn't keep blowing past concrete release dates to just finally say f***it and release it before it was exactly what he wanted.
