Yeah Wu Tang got me to check out samurai films which led me to Kurosawa and the criterion box set of his which exposed me to the rest of the Crit curated world cinema I knew nothing about. Crazy how a chain reaction that started in grade 7 when my best friend stole his big brothers Wu cd for me ended up.

I was always aware of him but it was honestly just you guys talking about old s*** all the time that made me take the leap

I did try Seven Samurai as a teenager but I fell asleep

Great movie but I still think it's bloated

I thought so too and also fell asleep to it every time until I saw the new restoration that had me entranced the old Crit dvd sucked s***
