I need to peep Portishead sometime. Trip hop is a major blind spot for me
Some of those beats on the S/T are dark enough for Mobb Deep to rap over

Always wanted someone to make that mashup or do it with Doris/IDLSIDGO era Earl.
Probably one of my 50 favorite songs ever

Listened to The Hissing of Summer Lawns by Joni Mitchell and other than Blue this is definitely my favorite from her. Really great arrangements. Easy autumn time listening. This one in particular really stood out to me.

Yeah I never could get into Hejira completely, but I think after listening to this and resonating with it—I’ll be able to get on that albums wavelength better.

Did you check out Ladies of the Canyon? I'm marinating on it right now and it's the first Joni album I actually dig

blue, ladies, hejira, and night ride home
It’s a shame this has been reduced to a joke song by movies and television, because if you earnestly sit with the whole thing it’s actually really beautiful.

@Bizzle this new Forest Swords is dope. i’ve listened to that new Jane Remover 3 times now and i’m just now getting to where i can tell the songs apart (outside of the singles.)
it’s a great album but it’s so amorphous and structure-less

Surprised you're actually listening to it
there are a few jams in there you're bound to like though. Then again you do like some experimental noise so

I actually haven't got around to the Forest Swords one yet, had a busy weekend. He always brings some good spooky vibes though, perfect for this time of the year.
And yeah the Jane Remover album is gunna take some time to pick apart, there's nothing as immediate as some of the best songs on Frailty. It sounds great though

It's not as good as the SAWs
